A lovely spot for a cafe, right on the bus line and not too dimly lit. There's outdoor seating and a bathroom. The food is kind of pricey, which is my main complaint, but it's pretty good. There's a wide selection of drinks like coffee, tea, smoothies, soda, etc. The food is mainly pastries and desserts (which vary between lovely and mid), but also breakfast and lunch things like bagels and pre-made sandwiches. I see people studying all the time so the wifi can't be too bad, and enough power outlets for frequent student use. The staff are nice and pretty accommodating, but they run out of some stuff pretty fast like bagels.
There smoothie is a must, refreshing and tasty. I choose grapefruit, blueberry, and yogurt, which is a perfect blend. Once I taste it, I feel the sweetness and sour taste from fruits. Then, the bitterness of grapefruit kicks in. The texture of yogurt adds a nice end of the taste, so I feel the clear juice first and end with a denser yogurt. A quite nice blend of both texture and flavor. It also comes with a large glass cup, so you can enjoy it for almost an hour.
Classic little cafe with a lot of great cookie and pastry options, and a few premade sandwiches too! It’s nothing fancy, just good quality coffee and snacks for an actually reasonable price, perfect spot to relax, chat, or do some work!
A little pricey but the coffee we got tasted good. They also have a good list of flavor options. Other drinks besides coffee include tea, fresh juice, lemonade, sodas, milk, hot chocolate, and some other canned and bottled options. For food they have some sweets, wraps, and sandwiches. Staff were really nice, patient, and made our drinks quickly. The store was clean and the atmosphere was nice.
Because of circumstances, I've eaten breakfast at three different places in Squirrel Hill this week. This is the only time I'm leaving a review because the other two were easily forgettable. Today I had a breakfast wrap that was really good and well-balanced. The coffee was excellent and not overpriced. The shop itself shows a bit of age, but it works well and fits with the lack of pretentiousness here. Next time in the area, I won't bother trying another place. I'll be here.
Coffee is good and you can sit for hours just working or reading. The cafe is also open till 9 pm which is very rare for Pittsburgh. The cookies are amazing!! get the raisin one or m&m ones.
A little loud and busy when I first arrived but nothing a yummy chai latte couldn't fix! Definitely bring headphones if you want to work just in case.
